Eric Adams, the new mayor of New York, has revealed his love for English football, stating that he is an Arsenal fan. The Democrat, who won a landslide victory in the US economic capital, said, "I'm an Arsenal fan and I used to watch their games on Sky News." Previously, in 2011, he wrote about the legendary Dutch player Robin van Persie after his double against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League: "Who needs Batman when you have Robin?" Adams also disclosed that he has owned a stake in the Spanish club Real Oviedo since 2012. In November 2012, he posted: "I bought a share and maybe one day we can compete with them in La Liga."
