Washington, Nov 26. U.S. President Donald Trump insisted on Tuesday on his intention to consider dialoguing with Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro to 'save many lives' and added that if they can 'do things the right way' that's fine, but he can also 'do it the wrong way'.
Trump defended his decision to possibly communicate with Maduro when a reporter aboard the presidential plane questioned him about why dialogue with the Venezuelan if he has been denounced as the supposed leader of a foreign terrorist organization.
'He is the leader' and 'we can save lives,' Trump responded to the doubts and held Maduro responsible for 'sending' millions of people to the United States and concluded by saying he is not happy with the issue.
Trump's statements come amid a massive cancellation of flights and international airline operations in Venezuela due to the deployment of U.S. military in the Caribbean Sea under the argument of combating drug trafficking, although the Venezuelan Government believes it is an attempt at invasion.
This week, various flight tracking platforms identified several U.S. military aircraft near the Venezuelan coast, over the Caribbean between Venezuela and Curacao.
Among the reported aircraft were a B-52 bomber, F/A-18 fighters, and an early warning aircraft.
Over the past few weeks, Trump has held constant meetings with Pentagon authorities to evaluate possible action options on Venezuela, after launching a military campaign in international waters in which they have killed more than 80 people and destroyed more than 20 boats allegedly linked to drug trafficking.
