American media reported on Wednesday that the Afghan citizen suspected of carrying out a shooting on two National Guard members in Washington had worked with US forces in Afghanistan before being evacuated to the United States. Fox News cited CIA Director John Ratcliffe as saying that the 29-year-old suspect worked with the agency, the US Army, and other government agencies and arrived in the United States in September 2021, a month after the withdrawal of US troops from the country amid great chaos.
