U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday that he expects talks with Ukrainian officials to lead to 'further progress' toward an agreement to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Rubio, who is holding talks in Hallandale Beach, Florida, added: 'It's not just about peace agreements, it's about finding a path forward that preserves Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, prosperity, and stability. So we expect to make further progress today.' The talks are being attended by Ukrainian negotiators led by Rustem Umerov, as well as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, accompanied by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump.
