U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Politico on Tuesday that Ukraine, which has 'lost a lot' in the war, must make concessions to achieve peace. He emphasized that continuing the conflict will lead to even greater losses for Kyiv. 'They've lost a lot of people, they've lost a lot of land,' Trump said. 'There will come a time when they have to make a deal.' He believes the U.S. should act as a mediator in the negotiations. Trump also added that European allies should bear a greater financial burden for Ukraine's reconstruction. 'We can't keep paying for everything by ourselves,' he stated. 'Europe has to do more.' Previously, Trump has repeatedly stated that the conflict in Ukraine should be resolved through negotiations, not by military means.
