The White House confirmed to AFP the Wall Street Journal's report that special envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and several European leaders at the end of the week to discuss peace negotiations. The German government announced that Berlin will host the leaders, including the President of the European Commission and the Secretary General of NATO, next Monday after Zelenskyy attends the Ukrainian-German Business Forum in the company of Chancellor Friedrich. An American special envoy met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday, as reported by official local media, amid pressure efforts. The White House announced that Steve Witkoff, special envoy for US President Donald Trump, will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and several European leaders in Berlin at the end of this week amid Washington's efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
