Ukraine stated that the talks held over the past three days with representatives of the United States and Europe in the state of Florida were "productive and constructive," reported Ukraine's chief peace negotiator, Rustem Umerov, according to the Argentine News Agency.
In a Facebook post, Umerov indicated that the discussions included progress in developing the 20-point peace plan, the alignment of multilateral and bilateral security guarantee frameworks for Ukraine, and the formulation of an economic and prosperity plan.
The parties also addressed the schedules and sequence of the next steps in the negotiation process.
"Ukraine remains fully committed to achieving a just and sustainable peace. Our shared priority is to stop the deaths, ensure security guarantees, and create conditions for recovery, stability, and long-term prosperity," stated Umerov, who emphasized that peace must constitute "a dignified foundation for a stable future."
The negotiator noted that European national security advisors participated in the meetings to consolidate a shared strategic approach between Kyiv, Washington, and European capitals.
In turn, U.S. presidential envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed on X that "productive and constructive meetings" took place over the past few days. Among the American participants were Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Josh Gruenbaum, while the Ukrainian delegation was also led by Andriy Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
In parallel, Russian Special Envoy Kirill Dmitriev held separate talks with U.S. officials in Miami and assured that "the discussions are proceeding constructively."
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared at his annual press conference that Russia is ready to end the conflict through negotiations, and stated that "the ball is entirely in Ukraine's court and its European sponsors'."
