Buenos Aires, Feb 17 (NA)—The second round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, under the mediation of Oman, began in the Swiss city of Geneva, Saudi media reported on Tuesday. Steve Witkoff, White House special envoy, and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, represent Washington in the negotiations, Xinhua reported, to whose service the Argentine News Agency is subscribed. Meanwhile, Tehran's 'diplomatic and specialized' delegation is headed by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
In an interview with BBC, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi confirmed on Sunday that the Islamic Republic could discuss diluting enriched uranium to 60%, as proof of its flexibility, but categorically ruled out zero enrichment on Iranian soil.
Switzerland, Chapter 2 The meeting in Switzerland follows the first round of negotiations held on February 6 in the Omani capital, Muscat, which both parties described as a 'good start,' although it produced no visible progress.
