An American official said on Monday that U.S. representatives in Geneva met with the Russian delegation and will meet with the Chinese delegation to discuss nuclear weapons after the expiration of the U.S.-Russian treaty that limited the deployment of such weapons.
"I met with the Russian delegation today," the official said, asking not to be named. "Preparatory meetings were also held with various countries in Washington after the 'New START' treaty expired earlier this month. Tomorrow we will meet with the Chinese delegation, as well as other delegations."
