President Donald Trump said on Monday that he is 'far from a decision' on sending U.S. troops to Iran to secure highly enriched uranium stocks. Trump told the New York Post when asked about alleged discussions between Israel and the United States about the possibility of deploying special forces in Iran to seize and secure these materials: 'We have not made any decision in this matter.' Last month, Trump, without providing evidence, claimed that Tehran had begun rebuilding the nuclear program he said was 'destroyed' by American strikes in June of last year. Iran denies its pursuit of a nuclear arsenal and says its uranium enrichment activities are aimed solely for civilian purposes.
