Washington — The United States has made progress in talks with Ukraine on ending the war with Russia, US envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed on Sunday. This is a goal that President Donald Trump pledged to achieve within 14 months of taking office. Witkoff stated on the social media platform X that the two-day talks in Florida focused on «further narrowing gaps and addressing outstanding issues, and saw progress on a fundamental humanitarian issue». Trump has repeatedly pressured Ukraine to make concessions to end the war that Russia began in February 2022.
