The new president of the USA, Donald Trump, expressed the belief that "military power" should serve diplomacy. He made this statement during a speech in front of employees and veterans of the CIA at the agency's headquarters on the second day of his tenure. Trump called for strengthening American military forces and asserted that the country will fight for its interests around the world.
"We will fight for our veterans, who won American military forces victory. Our security will be priority number one. I do not believe that anyone can circumvent us in every sense," Trump stated.
Trump also noted that, in addition to strengthening military power, he aims to restore the prestige of American intelligence. "We support our agents who work all around the world. We will be engaged in the most serious issues," the president added.
