American billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of the largest technology companies SpaceX and Tesla, has become a prominent figure close to the newly elected US president.
He expressed his thoughts regarding the transition of power in the US during an interview, where he shared that his company SpaceX is prepared for projects on the Moon and Mars. These projects will make it possible to establish settlements on other planets, while also ensuring the preservation of humanity in the future, asserts Musk.
"We have been on the verge of extinction multiple times. In particular, during the Soviet era and in the time when the SS-18 rockets were created. Simulations suggest that the probability of civilization surviving over the next thousand years is exceedingly low," Musk stated.
According to him, one of the steps towards saving humanity is the establishment of bases for settlements on other planets, which could make humanity a multi-planetary species in case of catastrophic events on Earth.
