Finalists for the NFL Most Valuable Player award for the season have been announced, with notable players including Lamar Jackson from the Ravens and Josh Allen from the Bills. It is noteworthy that Patrick Mahomes from the Chiefs is not among the candidates, despite having a remarkable season with 15 wins and 2 losses, leading his team to the American Conference final.

According to the list, other finalists for the award include Joe Burrow from the Bengals, Jared Goff from the Lions, and Saquon Barkley from the Eagles. It is also highlighted that in the last 11 years, the MVP award has always been won by a quarterback, with the last exception being running back Allan Peterson in 2012.

The winner of the 2024-2025 Most Valuable Player award will be announced on February 6 during the NFL Honors, an annual event where the league rewards the best players and coaches of the year.
