According to information published in the British newspaper The Sun, there was an attempted organization of a boxing match in the courtyard of the American prison Alcatraz, one of the most famous prisons in the world. In this match, the American professional boxer Teofimo Lopez was supposed to defend his titles.
According to the publication, the idea of holding a fight in prison arose from one of Lopez's managers. He suggested that organizing a match in Alcatraz would be a bright and memorable event for both the boxer and the viewers.
"The idea of holding a fight in Alcatraz was somehow completely crazy, and many considered it lawless, but I managed to convince all parties," the newspaper quotes Lopez's manager.
