Messi and Suárez Fined in MLS Controversy

In the match between Inter Miami and New York City FC in Major League Soccer (MLS), a controversial scene involving Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez occurred, as they were sanctioned by the league for incidents that violated the rules.

Messi, at the end of the match, had physical contact with NYCFC assistant Medhi Ballouchy, grabbing him by the neck, which led to the MLS deciding to impose a fine. Meanwhile, Luis Suárez was also fined for a similar incident where he touched NYCFC player Birk Risa on the neck during a heated discussion before halftime.

The MLS did not specify the amount of the fines, but made it clear that such behaviors will not be tolerated on the field, following a strict policy against physical and verbal assaults.

Despite the sanctions, both Messi and Suárez will be available for the next match of Inter Miami against Houston Dynamo, where coach Javier Mascherano downplayed the incidents, considering them as "on-field matters."

Inter Miami is preparing to face Sporting Kansas City in the return leg of the first round of the Concacaf Champions Cup, maintaining focus on their sports objectives. With Messi and Suárez in the team, they hope to advance in the competition and prove their worth as a competitive team with potential to go far.
