Nicolás Jarry Withdraws from Miami Masters 1000

The Miami Masters 1000 suffered a last-minute withdrawal after Chilean Nicolás Jarry retired from the competition due to an unresolved toe injury.

"Unfortunately, I have had to pull out of the tournament here in Miami. I just came from the doctors where I made my withdrawal. The toe still hasn't healed; I am in pain on the court when I play, especially during moments of greater impact on the foot," Jarry explained in a video shared on his social media.

The Chilean tennis player, ranked 47th in the ATP rankings, expressed his disappointment at not being able to participate in a tournament that always excites him: "I am sad that I couldn't recover in time for this tournament, given how much I love the Miami Masters 1000 and its fans, which feels the closest to playing at home."

Despite the frustration, Jarry is already thinking about his return to the circuit and aims for the ATP 250 in Bucharest, where he hopes to be fully recovered to return to competition: "I will continue with the recovery process; the next tournament is Bucharest, and I hope to arrive well. I have two weeks to recover, so I will do everything possible to compete and regain my level."

Thus, the Miami tournament loses one of the main South American tennis players, while Jarry will suffer a significant drop in the ATP ranking. The player hopes to return as soon as possible and be once again among the 50 best players in the world.
