The young American horse named Good Shire won the race "Kentucky Oaks", marking the first daughter of her kind in Group 1. According to trainer Brad Cox, Good Shire demonstrated an ideal representation in the progression of the last several starts and became "a prime example of perfection across all parameters."
The Good Shire team expressed deep confidence in the undeniable ability of the horse even at the start of the race. "I was confident that Good Shire deserved to win and today should become the titleholder because she is simply unique," commented trainer Louise Sise.
During the race, Louie took Good Shire down the outside and, exiting onto the straight, allowed the horse to unleash its full power. Good Shire surely established her supremacy at the finish, setting a gap to two with a half-length ahead of American horse Driscel Hill.
Brad Cox emphasized that the muddy racetrack couldn’t hinder Good Shire's victory. "It was important to maintain balance, and Louie handled the task beautifully, sustaining Good Shire's concentration from the very beginning," the trainer added.
