Fan associations have stated that ticket prices for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, have sparked a wave of protests among supporter groups. This comes after prices surged to unprecedented levels in recent days, according to the Spanish newspaper AS. Football Supporters Europe confirmed that the prices set by FIFA for the most loyal fans have reached 'outrageous' levels. It was noted that following one's team from the first match to the final through tickets allocated to national federations will cost at least 5,800 euros, which is five times more than it was for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
