In the second set, he maintained the initiative, held the advantage, and although he wasted two match points, he sealed the victory 6-4 on his third opportunity. Against Hijikata, who had previously eliminated Alexander Bublik, Norrie controlled the match with solid play from the baseline and resolved the encounter without any hitches. With this result, he secured a spot in the top eight and is now awaiting a potential clash with Alcaraz.
