Argentine Guido Andreozzi Reaches Indian Wells Final

Argentine doubles specialist Guido Andreozzi (34th) has the chance to make a career milestone by reaching the final of the Indian Wells Masters 1000, the first tournament of this category of the season. According to the Argentine News Agency, Andreozzi is paired with Frenchman Manuel Guinard (22nd), and together they defeated the team of Argentine Horacio Zeballos (2nd) and Spaniard Marcel Granollers (3rd) by a score of 6-7 (13), 6-3, and 10-5 in the final super tie-break. In a dreamlike 2026, Guido Andreozzi continues to achieve the biggest milestones of his career and reached a Masters 1000 final for the first time, doing so in Indian Wells, in the United States. As the final score indicates, the first set was incredibly even, with no breaks and points alternating during a lengthy tie-break that Zeballos' pair won 13-15, although Andreozzi managed to prevail 6-3 in the next set. With the need for a super tie-break to decide the match, the team of the Argentine and the Frenchman managed to win three points on their opponents' serve and lost only one on their own, to close out an impressive match 10-5. Established as a doubles player, the Argentine has three ATP titles at the 250 level in Umag, Buenos Aires, and Bastad, all on clay, and is one match away from adding his first championship on hard court, as well as playing the highest-category final of his career. Furthermore, the Argentine was the runner-up at the 250 tournament in Metz at the end of 2025, the only ATP doubles final he has lost in his career, and ended the year playing some Challengers, which he couldn't win, though his 2026 couldn't have started better. Beyond falling in the first round at the Adelaide and Australian Open tournaments, Andreozzi seized his opportunity and accepted a call-up to the Argentine national team to play in the Davis Cup against South Korea, in the Asian country, sacrificing some tournaments of the South American swing. Despite the defeat of the Argentine alternate team against the South Korean side, Andreozzi was able to win his match, in which he partnered with Federico Gómez, and had good results at the tournaments in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, to now reach the final in Indian Wells. As if that weren't enough, his great performance at the current American tournament brought him to the 21st position in the doubles rankings, his best historical ranking. The final will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 22:00 (Argentine time) and will feature cousins Arthur Rinderknech and Valentin Vacherot as opponents, who are in the top 30 of the singles rankings but are 361st and 1288th in doubles, respectively.
