"Nvidia's record profits failed to dispel concerns," said Fumika Shimizu, analyst at Nomura Securities. The index fell 2.4% to close at 48,625.88, ending the week down 3.5%. The broader Topix index fell 0.1%, losing 1.8% over the past five days.
