Six Teens Injured in Brooklyn Shooting

Six teenagers were injured in a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at an event venue in the Cypress Hills neighborhood of Brooklyn, according to the New York City Police Department. The armed violence incident began around 01:00 local time, right after a birthday party concluded at the location, a police spokesperson said. The injured youths, aged between 15 and 17, were urgently taken to nearby hospitals and are in stable condition, according to the latest police report. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch provided details about the incident based on security camera footage. "Both individuals displayed firearms and fired several rounds at a crowd gathered outside the location," explained Tisch, adding that the suspects fled on foot immediately after the attack. Although the motive for the shooting is still unknown, the commissioner indicated that the incident appears to be gang-related.
