Elon Musk's company Neuralink has announced the start of mass production of brain-computer interfaces. The first patient to receive an implant will be able to use it to play video games, browse the internet, and post on social media. In a post on the X platform, Elon Musk stated that his company Neuralink will begin mass-producing brain-computer interfaces and will transition to fully automated surgical procedures in 2026. The brain chips were designed to help people with conditions such as spinal cord injuries. The company began human trials for its brain-implanted device in 2024 after addressing safety concerns raised by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which had previously rejected the company's application.
