John Bolton Discusses Global Security Threats

In an interview with the channel "Sky News Arabia," former U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton discussed key events in the world and contemporary security issues, emphasizing that Iran has come very close to acquiring nuclear weapons, which poses a threat not only to Israel but to the entire world.

Bolton noted that the options for dealing with this threat remain extremely limited, especially with the increased risk of Iranian nuclear weapons falling into the hands of terrorist groups. Regarding the American position on Iran, he described the policy of former U.S. President Donald Trump as contradictory because he is willing to negotiate while simultaneously threatening military strikes against Iran's nuclear program.

He explained that it is unlikely that Iran will react positively to these proposals in light of the current Iranian regime. He also touched upon the situation in Syria, noting Iran's diminished influence following the fall of Bashar al-Assad.

He noted that the current Syrian regime, despite its attempts to improve relations with the West, faces major problems, especially in the fight against terrorist groups supported by Iran.

As for the conflict in Ukraine, Bolton pointed out the significant weakening of Russia's military position, but stated that Ukraine is capable of continuing to fight until achieving independence. He expressed his rejection of Trump's proposal to end the war by making concessions to Russia, arguing that this would increase the threat from Moscow and lead to a continuation of aggression.

Finally, Bolton expressed skepticism regarding the U.S. President's policy towards China, noting that Trump may quickly change his position in the future depending on his personal interests with global leaders.
